Our story
Most teams manage their operations in a tangle of spreadsheets, email threads, and Slack pings. We think there's a better way — and we're building it.
Atomic Work was founded in Brisbane in 2024 by Saeed Vaali — a software engineer who spent a decade deep in HRIS and People Analytics, implementing SAP SuccessFactors for organisations with thousands of employees, building predictive workforce models, and consulting over 15 organisations across APAC on HR process automation.
The pattern he kept seeing: smart operations, HR, and IT teams spending 60–70% of their time on coordination work — routing approval emails, chasing signatures, copy-pasting data between systems. Tools like Zapier existed, but required engineers to maintain. Enterprise BPMS platforms existed, but cost six figures and took months to deploy. There was nothing in between for the teams who actually ran the processes.
Atomic Work is built on a simple idea: any business process can be broken into indivisible steps — atoms — each with one owner, one action, one outcome. Describe the process in plain English and AI assembles the atoms into a running workflow in seconds. Human approval gates stay in the loop wherever judgement is needed.
We're based in Brisbane, Australia. We're honest about what's built versus what's planned, and we're building the tool we always wished existed when we were on the operations side.
These aren't aspirational posters on a wall. They're the constraints we design within.
Every step should be one thing. One owner. One outcome. Ambiguity is where processes go to die — we design it out.
Automation handles the repetitive; humans handle the judgement. Atomic Work keeps both in their lane.
We don't claim integrations we haven't built or certifications we haven't earned. What you see in the product is what actually works.
If you build something people want, you should get paid for it. That's why 70% of every Marketplace sale goes to the creator.
We're a small founding team, growing carefully.
Founder & CEO
Saeed started as a Software Engineer building scalable data systems, then spent a decade in HRIS and People Analytics — implementing SAP SuccessFactors, building predictive workforce models, and consulting 15+ organisations across APAC. He founded Atomic Work after watching operations teams lose thousands of hours to manual approval chains that should have been automated. His AI-driven approach has reduced manual admin time by 70% for organisations he's worked with.
